Dennis Sager, M.D.

FAA EXAMS

Dr. Sager performs First, Second, and Third Class FAA Exams.

PRIVATE PILOTS

Private pilots generally require Third Class Exams. No special preparation is required. Be sure to bring all required glasses (for both distance and reading.)

FIRST CLASS EXAMS

Airline pilots may require First Class Exams. Electrocardiograms (EKG) are required at the first examination after reaching age 35. The next EKG is required at age 40 and annually afterwards (or every other exam for pilots having exams every 6 months.) The EKG's must be transmitted by special equipment to the FAA. Ordinary EKG's are not acceptable. The First Class Medical certificate cannot be issued until the EKG is transmitted.

All pilots MUST complete their portion of the examination on-line before their appointment at

(You will need your confirmation number. If possible, bring a copy of the 8500 Form. The confirmation number is on the bottom of the form.)
