Dennis Sager, M.D.

ABOUT DR. SAGER
Dr. Sager has
practiced Internal Medicine (Primary Care medicine for adults and adolescents)
in Reston since 1981. A native of Richmond, Dr. Sager graduated from the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology as an Aeronautical/Astronautical
Engineer. He worked first as a Trajectory Analyst in the NASA Mission Control
Center in Houston during the Apollo program. Dr. Sager then worked at the MITRE
Corporation, developing air traffic control automation for the FAA. Dr. Sager
was always interested in medicine. He made a career change, attending Eastern
Virginia Medical School in Norfolk. He completed a residency in Internal
Medicine at Wright State University in Dayton. Married with four children, Dr.
Sager has always emphasized the personal side of medicine, valuing the
interaction with his patients. He has practiced at Reston Hospital since it
opened, serving in a number of positions including Chairman of the Department
of Medicine in 1993-1994. Dr. Sager shares office space and weekend call with
Alan Joshua, M.D. and Geoffrey Long, M.D.
